Baby Macy

“My puppy ‘Baby Macy’ came home at 6 wks old in which in the beginning she did everything ‘cute’! She ate cute, she had a little cute bark and even when she squatted to pee, it was cute! But at 4 months old she was no longer cute but a furry handful out of control! My Vet suggested a dog trainer for behavior control when she snapped at him during a visit so I called several trainers until I found Stacy with Pawsitive Focus. She came into my home and helped Macy be an obedient puppy that I can take on walks without her pulling the leash but most of all now she comes when being called outside the home…safety, safety, safety is what Stacy always says! During training, Stacy maintained a comfortable environment that facilitated learning which has helped me better communicate with Macy without me losing my temper. With her help my family now has a new four legged family member in our home that we absolutely love!” Latonya, Pearland,...

“Hi Stacy! First of all, we just wanted to say thank you for your help last Friday. You were able to put a lot of things into perspective for us — and I want you to know my husband is not easily impressed by lots of people — he loved you!! He even liked that you were “bossy”. I liked that he remembered most of what you said and when I remind him he says — oh right. So thanks! Sunday’s test went great and she has been accepted into the Faithful Friends group! I was so surprised how she reacted to all three women who were there. She did everything they asked with little correction. She wasn’t fearful of the large black lab, the wheel chair or the crutches (that ended up falling almost on top of her — she didn’t even flinch!). She walked on her leash — just using her collar (which is what I decided to use) pretty well for one of the women. I was shocked!! We took her to Home Depot and Lowe’s on Saturday and I thought she’d choke herself to death!! But, Sunday she was a different dog. We practiced three times today and the last time was a trip to our mailbox down the street and around the corner. Even with a cement truck and several workers, she walked the entire way without pulling — loose leash walking! She is exhausted this evening from her practice today for sure. So, thank you!! Hope you have a really great week. Thanks so much again!” “UPDATE:  Since you were so instrumental in...

“When you have two large dogs, you need to be confident and in control, I was neither. I had found Pawsitive Focus through my vet’s office. I was anxious to get started. I called Stacy, and set up our first session. At our first session Stacy’s explanation and execution of each command was straight forward. She gave clear and precise verbal and visual instruction. After our very first session, my “boys” were walking nicely. Soon after, they were able to sit, stay, and lay down. We set boundaries in my house. Those boundaries permitted me to open my front door. The boys were able to see who was there and what was going on. They were calm while still being on the “ready” if I needed them. Enforcing boundaries and commands also allowed kids to enter my house without being pushed around, jumped on or licked. By the end of our sessions, the boys were certified as Canine Good Citizens. Now that the boys have manners we have been welcomed into the homes of friends and family in Baltimore, Washington DC, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York. It is such a great relief, to me (and my wallet) to be able to travel together instead of trying to find a dog sitter, kennel, or boarding facility. The boys’ biggest test, was having to stay without me at my parent’s house just south of Buffalo, NY during the 120 day waiting period before flying to Hawaii. With no fences, acres of land to run on, plenty of ponds to swim in, and an endless bounty of new smells and wildlife;...
