‘Bodey tones down excitement and shares the floor with toddlers.’

“I can’t thank Stacy and Pawsitive Focus enough for her help with my pups. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants kind, consistent support training the furry members of your family. Stacy worked with me several years ago to train my new Cocker Spaniel puppy. We worked specifically on getting him and my doodle to calmly walk together and load/unload from vehicles.  Stacy also got them to wait at doors rather than bolting out. All of the skills made life with 2 very different dogs so much more manageable. This year Stacy and I were able to Zoom train my new Goldendoodle puppy. My Cocker Spaniel is now the “senior” dog – and a very large puppy can be just too much for him! Stacy taught me the skills and gave me the tools to get the puppy to “leave him,” tone down over excitement with a replacement toy, and share the floor with toddlers! Stacy and Pawsitive focus always emphasize positive, loving ways to help pups make good decisions. She also always follows up with excellent feedback and reminders from sessions. When they know expectations, pups really want to please. Thank you so much Stacy.” -Terri D., League City,...

‘It made a world of difference for our visitors. Now people want to come over and see the dogs.’

“Stacy was incredibly helpful in getting our dogs trained. We have a year old basset hound and a 2 year old bulldog, and we were lost trying to get them to listen to us. When people would visit, our chunky little basset hound, and our 75 pound bulldog would get excited and jump all over guests and just be incredibly rambunctious in general. After 5 sessions, we were amazed at the amount of discipline they showed like two little soldiers who wouldn’t move unless we told them to when guests came over. Our friends and family were absolutely floored by the progress, and couldn’t believe that these were the same two dogs. I highly recommend having her help train your pups, because it has made a world of a difference for us!” -Jed J., Olive Branch,...

‘Hunter knows place and we can walk him!’

“My family and I signed up for Pawsitive Focus 5stop.  Stacy was great with making sure my children were involved with our new puppy Hunter’s training.  She helped guide us on lots of things we were struggling with. Our two main concerns were working on loose leash walking and teaching place.  Stacy was able to walk us through the steps together and know how to react in different situations. We definitely saw a difference with each training session.  We will  use all the tools and tips that we learned through our sessions each day as we continue to work with Hunter!” -Angie T., Southaven,...

Swift’s barking no longer an issue

Swift’s barking no longer an issue

“Stacy provided a customized training experience for us and our adopted dog, Swift. We asked Stacy to help because as a Beagle, Swift can be stubborn. We chose the 5 visit with option to do more visits as needed. Stacy provided practical commands for our needs and goals with Swift. Specifically, we worked on: walking, sitting, come when called, and barking while we ate or doing other activities when we didn’t want her barking. Swift loved Stacy and was very attentive to her; more attentive to her than us even haha. Swift improved under Stacy’s training and the homework she gave us. It’s important to do the homework and keep working on the skills Stacy provided in order for it to become the norm. We chose Stacy because of her wealth of knowledge and experience. Also, her own dogs are very well trained and seeing them respond to commands is very impressive. We would highly recommend Stacy and Pawsitive Focus to train your dog.“ Tyler & Kristin P., Apex,...
Beau listens and a gentle touch!

Beau listens and a gentle touch!

“We were due to pick up our beautiful little mini pup in October 2018.  Unfortunately which turned into a difficult time for us.  I had three different hospitalizations and one emergency surgery.  I tell you this so you can imagine the very untrained puppy I came home to.  My husband spent most of his time at the hospital going back and forth to take care of the puppy; but with no time or attention on training him. He is a very smart little guy who quickly took over as the alpha and had us running a little crazy trying to train him and trying to stop him from biting/mouthing us.  Our arms had red stripes up and down from his wild lack of training. I searched for the right type of trainer we needed.  Pawsitive Focus was highly recommended, so I called Stacy Ramsdell, the owner.  We discussed goals and the types of training she offered.  She would come to my home and no shock collar! The gentle and fun training which our Beau responded very well to. Stacy has a very good sense of what training is needed just by watching Beau interact with us; and at each session she trained him on one or more actions. We had six very successful sessions with Stacy and very highly recommend her for your training needs. With our first puppy, seven years ago, we didn’t know enough about training so we hired a total of three trainers during a five year period and had no success with them.  With Pawsitive Focus we hired one trainer, had one puppy trained and...
Emmet’s comfy in his crate and loves a good walk!

Emmet’s comfy in his crate and loves a good walk!

“Stacy was such a huge help in training our 1 year old rescue puppy Emmet. When we brought him home, he suffered from separation anxiety, to the point where he destroyed his crate and was in danger of hurting himself. Stacey gave us very practical techniques to help him get comfortable going into his crate and leaving for longer periods of time. The progress we have seen is incredible. Another big area of concern was Emmet’s walking habits. He was very distracted by other animals and would pull hard, which was especially a concern for our children. Stacy again helped us teach Emmet how to keep his focus on us so we could direct his steps, not the other way around. We now have neighbors tell us how well-behaved and calm he is! Stacy is very responsive with any questions or concerns we have, she would follow up with us after our sessions, and I love that she also spent time with our kids teaching them how to help in Emmet’s training. I would definitely recommend Pawsitive Focus. It will take commitment on your part too, but the results are so worth it!“ Kristi., Raleigh,...
