Jozi’s success in meeting people!

“My dog and I loved working with Stacy. She showed us the correct way to meet people and be out in public places without jumping, barking or hiding from people. We met in a variety of places to practice training in different settings which was very helpful for me to understand how I should be training my dog. I definitely would recommend Stacy for your dog training!“ Jessica T., Raleigh,...
Happy New Year 2019

Happy New Year 2019

Wishing you a Happy New Year for 2019!  Our family has been blessed in 2018 with the move to Raleigh and so many continued friendships that once started as a call for help to Pawsitive Focus. As I write this, I hear fireworks going off.  One dog ignores them and the other looks for assurance of what he should do.  Training always pays off.  Starting young is always best; but if you get a rescues; just start as soon as you’re able to decrease or help change unwanted behaviors.  My pups, Wrigley and Joppa, are available to help with sessions too. May the Lord above bless you and bring you joy this coming...
Desoto’s changes will continue

Desoto’s changes will continue

“Stacy has been an amazing help for me and my Doberman DeSoto! Whenever I had questions after our weekly class, she was very responsive and always had an answer that would solve my issue. The classes were always a perfect fit for the problem areas DeSoto had. The changes I’ve seen in DeSoto are all thanks to Stacy! I know that DeSoto’s behaviors will continue to get better through the use of the techniques she taught us.” Shanequa A., Raleigh,...

Where ever your dog spends time, let’s train there!

When your pup can come to work with you, it’s time to train in your store!  Pawsitive Focus is helping here as Rosie is working on loose leash walking by following her owner close.  She’s also working on a non-reactive response to the door.  If you’d ask her how she feels about men; she’d tell you she’s getting better and loves it when they put their hand down by their knee to give her a treat without trying to pet her for...

“Pawsitive training really works! Stacy always came prepared with a variety of suggestions/ techniques to help with specific behavior issues. She was a great motivator for us to learn and train on our own. Now we love taking our dogs to new places to explore. Stacy is excellent to work with and I would highly recommend her!” A show off come from our last session at the movie theater!  Watch this! Blue’s journey has just begun.

Blue’s journey has just begun.

“My out of control 14 month old Fox Hound, Blue, was a challenge and I have trained a dozen or more dogs by myself. I considered myself very capable of training him. But after 2 months he was still out of control: barking, lunging, pulling when seeing a cat, dog, squirrel, chipmunk, etc. I first had a session with another trainer which was a nightmare. I found Stacy of Pawsitive Focus online and found her to be courteous, patient, and knowledgeable. He now knows ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘down’, ‘wait’, and sometimes ‘come’. He is walking much better on the leash and has stopped aggressively lunging. We have had 5 sessions and will take a break due to this heat and resume in the fall until Blue is perfect.  I highly recommend Stacy.” Skip S., Raleigh,...
