“We were due to pick up our beautiful little mini pup in October 2018. Unfortunately, this turned into a difficult time for us. I had three different hospitalizations and one emergency surgery. I tell you this so you can imagine the very untrained puppy I came home to. My husband spent most of his time at the hospital going back and forth to take care of the puppy; but with no time or attention on training him.
He is a very smart little guy who quickly took over as the alpha and had us running a little crazy trying to train him and trying to stop him from biting/mouthing us. Our arms had red stripes up and down from his wild lack of training.
I searched for the right type of trainer we needed. Pawsitive Focus was highly recommended, so I called Stacy Ramsdell, the owner. We discussed goals and the types of training she offered. She would come to my home and no shock collar! Just the gentle and fun training which our Beau responded very well to.
Stacy has a very good sense of what training is needed just by watching Beau interact with us, and at each session, she trained him on one or more actions.
We had six very successful sessions with Stacy and very highly recommend her for your training needs.
With our first puppy, seven years ago, we didn’t know enough about training so we hired a total of three trainers during a five year period and had no success with them. With Pawsitive Focus we hired one trainer, had one puppy trained and we could not be more pleased with the results.”
